1986 - 1989

MS DOS program sold only in retail stores in the Washington, D.C., Virginia and Maryland Metropolitan areas. The program was on 5 1/4 inch floppy disks and updates were Quarterly on disk only. The program sold for $29.95.
: This original package was a 14 page manual, stapled (saddle stitched) with 2 Floppy Disks tucked inside.

1989

In 1989 we produced a much improved MSDOS version of EZ Winners Lotto and sold the store packaged version in stores around Washington D.C., Virginia and Maryland. We offered Quarterly Updates.
: As pictured the product was offered on 5 1/4" disks and the packaging was produced to be compatible with sales racks that were prevalent in stores of the early 1990 era.

Early Magazine Ad (1990) for EZ-Winners Lotto™ MSDOS Version

EZ-Winners Lotto ™ was released in 1986 as an MS DOS based program. EZ-Winners Lotto ™ was upgraded to Windows ® in 2001 and the latest upgrade was made 26 October 2006.

This lottery software utilizes the latest programming tools available to produce powerful, fast and user friendly software.

The purpose of the software is to analyze numbers to pick lottery tickets. Analyses of numbers is obviously within our expertise as demonstrated by the list of software developed over the past 29 years.

With EZ-Winners Lotto™ we felt that the user should have the capability of applying preferences beyond the pure mathematics. That is where EZ-Winners Lotto ™ excels.

We are able to perform advanced calculations using the Windows® operating system and Microsoft ® Visual Studio™.

Such power was not available in the old "Character Based" MSDOS programs - remember those? That is why we are thankful for the advent of the GUI (Graphic User Interface) which was developed by IBM® and then adopted by Microsoft®.

Zane Wilson

Zane Wilson author of EZWinners Lotto Software

The author of the software is Zane Wilson who served as a United States Marine from 1960 to 1969 with service as a Combat Photographer in Vietnam 1968, 1969. A Pilot since 1964 he holds a Commercial, Aircraft Single and Multi Engine Land Pilots License with Instrument Rating. Hobbies include SCUBA diving, golf, fishing, model building, electronics and history.

Zane wrote his first magazine article on Lotto / Lottery Games for the Washington Entertainment Magazine (Washington DC) in 1989 for publishing in the Feb/Mar Issue of 1990. The article was a 4 page Cover Feature article. The Lottery Article is available at the bottom of this page for your review. As Managing Director of High Tech Publishing published articles relevant to the S-100 Bus Computers of the early 1980's. Published Multi-User Magazine which produced articles about multi-user and multi-tasking software of the time (prior to Microsoft ®). Multi-User Magazine was one of the first to deal with Security Issues where viruses were spread mainly by floppy disk and were just getting into the networking arena.
