Bonus Match 5 is an exciting
numbers game presented by the Maryland Lottery. Every
evening, the Lottery will select five winning numbers
ranging from 1 to 39. A Bonus Ball will then be drawn from
the remaining 34 numbers. The Bonus Ball provides you with
extra chances to win.
Pick up a Bonus Match 5 playslip
at any Lottery Retailer. Each playslip has 9 game boards,
lettered A through I. You may play one board for $1, 3
boards for $2, 4 boards for $3, 6 boards for $4, 7 boards
for $5, or 9 boards for $6.
You must select 5 numbers on
each board you want to play. Make a heavy vertical mark
through each number you choose. Use pencil or blue or black
ink. Red ink will not be accepted. If you make a mistake,
mark the "VOID" box at the bottom of that board, then use
any remaining open boards to complete your selections.
Please do not attempt to erase errors.
If you want the terminal to
randomly "Quick Pick" your numbers, mark the "QP" box at the
bottom of each board you want to play.
You can play the same numbers
for 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 drawings in a row, including the
next drawing, by marking the appropriate "NUMBER OF DRAWS"
box.
You can play for one future
drawing by marking the appropriate day in the "ADVANCE PLAY"
column. Only one drawing in the future may be played for
each playslip marked for "ADVANCE PLAY."
You win Bonus Match 5 by
matching 5, 4, or 3 of the original 5 winning numbers
selected. Or, if you match the Bonus Ball, you only need
to match 4, 3, or 2 of your original numbers to win. That's
how easy it is to win!
Example of Drawing:
The holder of a winning
ticket may win only one prize per board in connection with
the winning numbers drawn, but shall be entitled to the
highest prize won.
The Maryland Lottery will
award $50,000 for each game board matching 5 of 5 winning
numbers, up to a maximum of 12 game boards. (Note: This does
not include any game boards matching 4 of the 5 numbers plus
the Bonus Ball.) In the unlikely event more than 12 game
boards are correctly match 5 of 5 winning numbers in a
single drawing, each game board matching 5 or 5 winning
number will receive an equal share of the $ 600,000 pool.
Multi-Match drawings are held twice a week,
on Wednesday and Saturday nights, when the Lottery draws 6 numbers from
1 to 43. Your ticket will have three lines of six numbers for each game
you play. Multi-Match means multiple ways to match and win! You win by
matching 3, 4, 5 or 6 numbers on any one line, or by matching 5 to 18
numbers on all three lines combined. You can win up to four times in
each game, but only once on each line and only once on the combined
lines in each game. The Prize Chart shown on the other side of this
panel shows the prizes and prize levels.
